Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay is thrilled to be helping to organize the 4th Annual Cowichan Bay Spot Prawn Festival! This 2 day event runs Mother’s Day weekend on May 12 and 13 in Cowichan Bay.
Cowichan Bay Seafood began the festival 4 years ago with the help of Pacific Prawn Fishermen’s Association. They collaborated with the Cowichan Bay Maritime Center, the Chef’s Table Society of BC, and the merchants in the village to promote Cowichan Bay’s delicious and sustainable seafood – spot prawns. Designed to be a family-friendly event, the festival grows every year with demonstrations, samples, prawn sales, music and other entertainment.
The Spot Prawn Festival is a wonderful way to spend Mother’s Day with your family. For example, on Sunday May 13, start off your day with a delicious Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch at Terrain Kitchen, and then follow it up with an afternoon exploring the festival.
