Driving Directions from Vancouver
Driving from Vancouver to Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay will take approximately 4 hours and will require traveling by ferry with BC Ferries.
- Take Highway 1 West towards Horseshoe Bay.
- Follow signs towards the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.
- Take the ferry service from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay, Nainamo. (The ferry takes 1 hour 30 minutes, so sit back and relax.)
- When you exit the ferry, follow the signs to join Highway 1 South towards Victoria.
- You will pass several communities including Ladysmith, Chemainus and Duncan.
- Once you pass through Duncan, continue South past the Old Farm Market. There is a big red chicken out front.
- Just after the market at the foot of the hill is Cowichan Bay Road on the left hand side. Turn left onto Cowichan Bay Road.
- Keep traveling down this road until you get to an intersection at the Cowichan Lawn and Tennis Court. Turn right.
- Continue traveling South, approximately 4 km, through the village of Cowichan Bay.
- The resort will be on the left hand side.
Driving Directions From Nanaimo
Driving from Nanaimo to Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay will take approximately 45 minutes.
- Take Highway 1 South towards Victoria.
- You will pass several communities including Ladysmith, Chemainus and Duncan.
- Once you pass through Duncan, continue South past the Old Farm Market. There is a big red chicken out front.

Driving Directions From Victoria Ferries or Victoria International Airport
Driving from Victoria Ferries or Victoria International Airport will take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
- Travel Highway 17 South (also called Patricia Bay Highway) for about 17km.
- Take the McKenzie Avenue exit and head West towards Highway 1.
- Travel Highway 1 North towards Nanaimo. This route will take through the cities of Malahat and Mill Bay.
- Once you arrive in Mill Bay, continue travelling North.
- Turn right on Cowichan Bay Road, the 5th set of lights after Mill Bay.
- Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay is located 4 kilometers from Highway #1 on the right hand side.
Driving Directions From Downtown Victoria
Driving from Downtown Victoria will take approximately 45 minutes.
- Travel North towards Nanaimo on Douglas Street.
- Douglas will then turn into Highway #1; continue traveling North. This route will take through the cities of Malahat and Mill Bay.
- Once you arrive in Mill Bay, continue travelling North.
- Turn right on Cowichan Bay Road, the 5th set of lights after Mill Bay.
- Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay is located 4 kilometers from Highway #1 on the right hand side.
